I had a busy, but good weekend that started Friday afternoon. I helped Devil with the shed (another project for us) and then we drove to San Antonio for the night. We hung out with good friends and ended up staying over so we wouldn't have to drive back so late. The next day we visited over coffee before we headed home. They ended up coming our way Saturday afternoon and Devil cooked us dinner before we went out, dancing. That night we went to our favorite club where we had a lot of friends meet us there. We had twelve people at our table and it was good to catch up and have some fun, all at the same time. Yesterday we all slept in and then went to lunch before our friends made the drive back to San Antonio. Once they were on the road Devil and I worked on the shed until dark. We framed the entire roof, in just a couple of hours and now, today the decking goes on before the shingles. Before long, he'll be moving all of his tools into his new shed. It's going to be an awesome thing. After that, we have a really big project which is very exciting but I'll save that for another day.
What did you guys do this past weekend? Play nurse? Work your second job as the taxi driver for your kiddos? I want to hear it all..

Texas Sized
As corny as it sounds, I hear a lot of "wow, it's really true. Everything is bigger in Texas". Admittedly, the statement gives me pause and I always end up scratching my head on this one because, well, let's face it, my boobs are definitely not Texas Sized. However, my ass is. It's always been "big", even before my boobs grew to a gigantic size portion. Yes, I'm aware that I just contradicted myself all in the same paragraph. It's what I do, though. My mom had medium sized boobs (B cup) and no ass. Her mom, my "granny" (who was cute!), was a big boned gal. She had a beauty about her and I'm not saying that out of a biased opinion, it's true, just ask my grandpa. She was on the bigger side of a C cup and she had an ass which went along with her big boned body, but I have to tell you, my ass is bigger. Hell, I have a hard time finding jeans that fit because I can't squeeze my fat ass cheeks into them and if I can then the waist is gaped open...that's SEXY, let me tell you! Okay, so on with the story before I completely bore you off of your ass, no pun intended. (LMFAO! I've always wanted to use that in a sentence. WOOT!)

Sometimes it just Works Out
Last week was very stressful for me because we were involved in a wreck, just 4 hours after leaving for Tampa. Needless to say, we spent the week talking to the Insurance Company, patiently waiting for word on whether or not our Explorer was totaled and trying to make plans without knowing our options. I need a plan. It doesn’t matter what it is; whether it’s working on a project on the house, planning a trip or waiting on word from a disaster, such as the wreck. I need a plan. Since we weren’t sure how long it would take the Insurance to settle out and because we would have to buy a new SUV, a plan was next to impossible. So, what did I do? I worried myself silly and drove Devil insane asking him, “any word?” or my favorite question of the week, “So, when do you think we’ll be able to leave? We’re still going to be able to make it, right?” Yeah, Devil was ready to duck tape my mouth shut, I’m pretty sure.
Friday was very kind to us, I have to say. Our Insurance adjuster called to let us know that the explorer would be totaled out and they’d be giving us an X amount but needed us to overnight the title to the holding yard. As soon as they receive the titled, they’ll wire the money into our account. What a relief!
Saturday we drove 80 miles, one way, to look at an Expedition that we’d found on Craig’s List. It’s exactly what I had been wanting, even before the wreck. We had a Sport Explorer which was perfect four years ago when both of us were driving anywhere from 60 to 300 miles a day, each. Now that we don’t drive all over central Texas the Explorer isn’t what we need. It’s small and not exactly comfortable. The problem was that we had it paid off and didn’t want another payment, just yet. The Expedition that we found was not only in excellent condition, it was within our budget and we were able to pay cash for it, up front. So, we have the SUV I wanted and we don’t have a new car payment.
Sometimes it just works out…
